The blue house

Enval. I fell in love with this village. When you enter it through the small streets, not the main roads, it's set a bit high up, and the calm… I went there several nights in a row, at the end of July, early August. Kids were riding scooters outside, with their lights shining so brightly. A guy was streaming from his place with his followers; you could only hear him. Other than that, silence, wow.

I wandered into an alley, right next to a fountain. It was pitch black, and I didn't want to turn on any light: I didn't want to be seen or heard. I got down to a dog's-eye view, as I often say, a bit under the bumper of a car. Above, sumptuous stars and a thin wisp of clouds, or mist. Across, two shutters lit by the warm light from inside. And the reflection on the bumper, I love that: more perspectives, always perspectives.

In editing, a not-too-aggressive vignette, more of a gradient, for those Californian sunset colors, as I call them. I didn't erase anything: I wanted to keep the whole original feel. This corner of the village, to me, is exceptional. I am truly touched by what happens there. Photo by MrDéclenche.

The Print

• Poster: Fuji Crystal Archive photo paper, your choice of DP II matte (soft finish, no reflections) or metallic Pearl (more vibrant colors, slight pearlescent effect). Print only, no frame or mount included.
• Ready-to-hang Alu Dibond: the photo is printed on matte Fuji Crystal Archive DP II paper, protected by an anti-reflective matte laminate, then mounted on a 3mm rigid aluminum Dibond plate with black edges. The hanging system is already attached to the back: all you have to do is hang it on the wall.
• The MrDéclenche. watermark only appears on the website: your print is produced from the original file, in full quality.

Production and Delivery

• Each print is made to order by WhiteWall, a premium photo lab.
• Poster: allow 7 to 10 business days between your order and receipt (production plus shipping).
• Alu Dibond: allow about 10 business days for production, plus shipping.
• Packaging: posters are shipped flat in an envelope up to 60×40 cm, and rolled in a cardboard tube for larger sizes. Alu Dibond is shipped flat, in protective packaging.
• Home delivery by carrier (DHL, DPD, UPS…).
